Project Information:

The Glassell Campus (Campus) is an Orange County Flood Control District owned facility comprised of three parcels located at the intersection of North Glassell Street and East Bristol Lane in the City of Orange. The 9.4 acre Campus provides an operating base and office for OC Public Works staff.

The project will improve water quality within the Santa Ana River Watershed by implementing a series of Low-Impact Development features. Improvements include, the removal of existing impervious surfaces, construction of landscaped infiltration strips and bioretention best management practices, installation of permeable paving, flow-through planters, bioswales, modular wetlands, and a subsurface cistern. These systems will filter and remove pollutants, infiltrate and reduce stormwater runoff, and achieve 100 percent stormwater treatment and 85 percent on-site retention of an 85th percentile storm event. We look forward to beginning construction of the project this summer.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 9:30 AM.  All attendees shall meet at the PROJECT site, 2301 N. Glassell Street, Orange, CA 92865. All bidders are encouraged to attend. Questions regarding interpretation of the PLANS AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS will not be officially answered at the meeting, but significant/relevant questions will be officially answered via a project BULLETIN issued to all plan holders prior to opening of bids.

As specified in Section F-2, EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS, of the Special Provisions, the CONTRACTOR shall furnish proof of required experience at the time of bid submittal. Failure to submit adequate proof or submission of fraudulent proof of required experience shall be cause for DISTRICT to view CONTRACTOR’s bid as a non-responsible bid, and as such, shall be cause for rejection of CONTRACTOR’s bid.
