SARI Important Information for the Community
The Orange County Flood Control District (OCFCD) and its SARI Relocation Project
partners, the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) and the Santa Ana Watershed
Project Authority (SAWPA), are dedicated to providing you timely communications
to meet your information needs.
Please check here frequently for information important to you.
For Trail Users
A segment of the Santa Ana River Trail from just east of Bryant Ranch Shopping Center
to Old Village Road will be rerouted to street level for three months, beginning
mid-January. The detour will allow trail users to safely travel along La Palma Ave.
as crews continue the new sewer pipe installation.
The temporary pathway, which is separated from the main road by protective concrete
barriers, is the same width and has identical striping as the permanent trail.
Pedestrians and bicyclists may also enter the detour at the crosswalk on La Palma
and Via Lomas de Yorba East, and, as always, should obey all traffic laws.

The Orange County Flood Control District hosted a meeting on July 7, 2011 to discuss
commuter and recreational bicycle detours along the Santa Ana River (paved off-road)
Class I Bikeway due to the upcoming Santa Ana River Interceptor (SARI) Line Relocation
Project, including the Yorba Linda Spur construction project. For information about
the detours, please email Jeff Dickman,

La Palma Ave.
A segment of the Santa Ana River Trail from just east of Bryant Ranch Shopping Center
to Old Village Road will be rerouted to street level for three months, beginning
mid-January. While the rerouted trail is separated from the main roadway by protective
concrete barriers, motorists are asked to use additional caution when traveling
in the area.
For Residents/Business Owners
The Orange County Flood Control District hosted a Community Meeting on July 20,
2011 to introduce the Yorba Linda Spur construction project to area residents and
business owners. Click here to view the PowerPoint presentation. A fact sheet about the project was also distributed. Fact
sheets and invitations to the Community Meeting were distributed to nearly 5,000
homes and businesses on July 8, 2011.
For Green River Golf Club Golfers
The Green River Golf Club will remain open throughout the SARI Relocation Project,
retaining its new 18-hole configuration for the majority of construction. The golf
course was reconfigured in 2009 from 36 holes to an 18-hole course to accommodate
flood protection improvements along the Santa Ana River that are a part of the separate
Santa Ana River Mainstem Project. Two holes/fairways may require slight modification
for a brief period of time during construction to accommodate pipeline installation.

For Canyon RV Park Users
A portion of the west side of Canyon RV Park will remain open throughout construction.
The entire east side will be closed for up to six months during construction of
the pipeline and metering station. For further information about Canyon RV Park,
